Sulu State University (SSU) led by Prof. Charisma Samparani Ututalum, CESE continues to uphold its commitment to academic excellence and professional advancement as one of its faculty members distinguished himself in a national-level training.

Mr. Hafiz Azeem Abduraup, RCrim, CSS, a faculty member of the SSU School of Criminal Justice Education, successfully participated in the 20th National Criminalistics Specialization Training (Class 2026-20) organized by the Philippine Criminalistics Society, Inc. The intensive training was held from April 19 to April 26, 2026, in Baguio City, under the theme “Blending Theory and Practice in Forensic Science.”

Representing the university, Mr. Abduraup specialized in the Forensic Questioned Documents Examination category, a field focused on the scientific analysis and authentication of handwriting, signatures, and documents. Demonstrating exceptional analytical skills and technical competence, he achieved an outstanding 4th place ranking among participants.

This achievement reflects both individual excellence and institutional support. The SSU administration’s decision to send Mr. Abduraup to this specialized training underscores its strong commitment to faculty development and continuous learning.
